Tushar Kansal Is Transforming Startup Funding Through Venture Capital, IPOs, and Strategic Finance

Tushar Kansal has built his professional journey around a clear objective: helping businesses and entrepreneurs access the capital, networks, and strategic support needed to scale. As the Founder and CEO of Kansaltancy Ventures, he works across venture capital, IPO funding, debt financing, and strategic services, leveraging a network of more than 1,700 investors and lenders.

His work spans global technology and non-technology sectors, with Kansaltancy Ventures positioned as a growth partner for change-makers. The firm facilitates access to Venture Capital, secured and unsecured debt, SME and MainBoard IPOs, and strategic services through its investor relationships, domain expertise, and financial network.

Building Kansaltancy Ventures

Tushar founded Kansaltancy Ventures in 2016 after developing experience across multiple areas of finance and business. His professional background includes Venture Capital at Brand Capital, Big Four consulting at Deloitte and Touche, and work with the India unit of LSE-listed Sistema, where he was associated with raising $2.5 billion for MTS India.

He later served as CFO of DLI, a company owned by Guggenheim Partners. This diverse experience gave him exposure to venture capital, consulting, corporate finance, fundraising, and large-scale financial operations.

Today, Kansaltancy Ventures draws on that experience to help businesses navigate different stages of growth. Its work covers funding requirements ranging from venture capital to debt and public-market opportunities.

A Network Built Around Capital Access

A major part of Tushar’s approach is his extensive investor and lender network. Kansaltancy Ventures leverages more than 1,700 global VC and investor relationships, along with connections across banks, financial institutions, NBFCs, and FinTech lending platforms.

The firm is also associated with a marquee anchor investor in the SME IPO space, described as having assets under management of more than INR 20,000 crore and investments in over 130 IPOs.

Through these relationships, the firm aims to connect businesses with appropriate sources of capital while providing strategic support around their growth plans.

Supporting Startups Across Global Markets

Tushar’s involvement extends beyond individual fundraising mandates. He contributes to a portfolio of more than 450 startups across 70-plus countries through an INSEAD-led Canadian VC Fund. The portfolio covers approximately 90% of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, reflecting a broad focus across sectors and impact areas.

He is also a Venture Partner with a US-based Angel Fund. These roles place him within a wider international startup and investment ecosystem, giving him exposure to entrepreneurs, investors, and emerging businesses across markets.

Experience Across Venture Capital and Public Markets

Tushar’s professional profile combines private-market investing with public-market experience. One of the milestones he highlights is his appointment to the Board of GP Eco Solutions before its IPO.

The company subsequently raised an IPO of approximately $4 million, or INR 31 crore, in 2024, while the issue received bids worth approximately $2 billion, or INR 16,600 crore. The episode became a notable part of his public-market journey and strengthened his profile within India’s SME IPO ecosystem.

He is also a Certified Independent Director, adding corporate governance to his areas of professional expertise.

Alongside his work in finance, Tushar has developed a strong public presence as a speaker and business commentator. He is described as a Thought Leader and Influencer, with more than 100 recommendations on LinkedIn.
