Vandana Tolani has built a career at the intersection of investment banking, entrepreneurship, and strategic advisory. As the Founder and CEO of Convanto, a global boutique investment banking and strategic advisory firm, she brings more than 25 years of international experience across investment banking, venture capital, fundraising, and family office advisory.
Her professional journey spans India, Singapore, and Jakarta, where she spent around 15 years working with international investors, family offices, and businesses. During this period, she managed family office investments and developed extensive exposure to global financial markets. That experience later became the foundation for her entrepreneurial venture in India.
Building Convanto
After returning to India, Vandana founded Convanto with a clear objective: to help bridge the gap between promising businesses and global capital.
Headquartered in Gurugram, Convanto operates with an international network of investors and relationships across India, Singapore, Dubai, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The firm provides services across fundraising, investment banking, mergers and acquisitions, business valuations, financial modelling, and strategic advisory.
Supported by a network of more than 400 global investors, Convanto works with early-stage ventures, growth-stage companies, and established enterprises. The firm facilitates capital-raising opportunities ranging from USD 1 million to USD 100 million.
Under Vandana’s leadership, Convanto has supported approximately 450 companies across 45 countries and worked with five venture capital funds.
Experience Across Global Markets
Vandana’s international experience has played a central role in shaping her approach to investment and entrepreneurship. Her years across India, Singapore, and Jakarta gave her exposure to different markets, investors, business models, and capital structures.
That perspective has helped her build a business focused on connecting entrepreneurs with relevant capital and strategic opportunities. Her journey also reflects the transition from working within established financial ecosystems to building an independent advisory platform.
Advocating Entrepreneurship and Women’s Leadership
Beyond her work at Convanto, Vandana is active as a TEDx speaker, mentor, and advocate for entrepreneurship and women’s leadership. She has participated in more than 350 talks, podcasts, conferences, and industry discussions.
Through these engagements, she shares her experience with founders, entrepreneurs, and aspiring leaders. Her focus extends beyond fundraising to broader conversations around leadership, resilience, financial independence, and building sustainable businesses.
For Vandana, supporting entrepreneurs also means helping them understand the importance of preparation, strategic thinking, and access to the right networks.
Recognition Across Business and Leadership
Vandana’s work has received recognition across the investment, entrepreneurship, and leadership ecosystem. She was recognised among the Top 10 Women Leaders in Wealth Management in 2021 and received Woman Entrepreneur of the Year recognition in 2021 and 2023.
She has also been recognised as a Global Woman Leader by the World Women Congress and received the Best Financial Institution for Supporting Startups recognition in 2022.

Her work has been covered by platforms including The Times of India, Hindustan Times, BusinessWorld, and other business and leadership publications.
Building a Global Entrepreneurial Community
Vandana’s influence extends into the digital business community as well. She has built a professional LinkedIn community of more than 50,000 followers, creating another platform for conversations around entrepreneurship, investment, leadership, and business growth.
Her public presence complements her advisory work, allowing her to engage with a wider audience of founders and professionals while sharing insights from her experience across international markets.
Balancing Ambition With Responsibility
Beyond her professional achievements, Vandana is a proud mother of two. Her personal journey has shaped her perspective on ambition and responsibility, particularly for women building careers and businesses.
She believes women should not have to choose between professional ambition and personal responsibilities. Resilience, discipline, self-belief, integrity, compassion, and continuous learning remain central to her philosophy.
Her own journey reflects that belief. From working across international financial markets to establishing Convanto in India, she has built an independent professional path while continuing to mentor and encourage others.
Creating Impact Through Capital and Leadership
Vandana Tolani’s work sits at an important intersection of capital, entrepreneurship, and leadership. Through Convanto, she helps businesses navigate fundraising and strategic opportunities while connecting them with a wider global investor network.
Through her speaking and mentoring work, she extends that impact beyond transactions, encouraging entrepreneurs and women leaders to pursue financial independence and build businesses with confidence and purpose.
Her journey demonstrates how international experience, entrepreneurial determination, and a strong belief in empowering others can come together to create a lasting professional platform.
